Title:“TRIPLE DIMENSION SUPERSTAR”; Structure, Satisfaction, and Annie Baker’s Erotic Logic

Written for Thinkers/Makers/Dramaturgs Honors Seminar

Thesis: through a sexology and gendered lens, this essay examines the dramatic structure of annie baker’s play The Aliens. “…whereas modern U.S. theater-goers' desires have been primed to the erotic logic of the phallocentric, Aristotalian structure, Baker’s plays operate in a more tantric fashion, subverting standard masculine desires which in turn accounts for the dissatisfaction of many viewers…”

Title: Resisting Womanhood: Horse Girls and Female Preteenhood

Written for Women who Kill Themselves and Others Honors Seminar

Thesis: “while many adult female murderers kill to regain control, the young girls in Horse Girls kill to retain it...Horse Girls is groundbreaking in the way it explores the psyche of the in-between of girlhood and womanhood and the drastic difference between the control females are allowed between those two states”
